DURANT, Iowa – Durant-Bennett’s volleyball team swept area rival West Liberty 3-0 in the semifinals of the Cedar Valley Conference tournament on Monday.
Renee Telsrow had 19 kills, two ace serves and four digs in the eighth-ranked Wildcats’ 25-17, 25-18, 25-22 victory over the Comets. Makenzie Meyer and Shelby Paustian each had 10 kills. Paustian also contributed a team-high 17 digs.
Durant improved to 31-5 overall and 9-0 in the CVC. The Wildcats move on to face Iowa City Regina at home on Thursday.
The Regals were 25-22, 23-25, 25-15, 25-10 winners over West Branch, also on Monday.
