DURANT, Iowa – Durant-Bennett volleyball players Renee Telsrow and Makenzie Meyer were unanimous selections to the Cedar Valley Conference’s first team released Thursday.
West Liberty libero Julissa Galvan was also a unanimous selection.
Telsrow and Meyer led the Wildcats to regular season and conference tournament titles. Telsrow, a senior, has 324 kills (3.67 per game) and 37 blocks. Meyer, meanwhile, has tallied 207 kills (2.65 per game) and 39 blocks.
Galvan averaged just more than 5.5 digs per game for the Comets, who were eliminated from the postseason in the opening round against North Cedar.
Wilton’s Carlee Grunder, a setter, was named to the second team as was Durant’s Shelby Paustian and West Liberty’s Hannah Vance.
Durant’s Emily Andry, Wilton’s Shelby Broders and West Liberty’s Hailey Smith were honorable mention choices.
