MUSCATINE, Iowa – This weekend the Pearl City rugby teams will compete in the James MacDonald Cup, named in honor of the memory of an outstanding former Pearl City Black Bears player who was killed in a boating accident.
The revised schedule includes a noon match today with the Pearl City Pumas vs. Iowa State. At 1:30 p.m., the Pearl City Black Bears face White Plains, N.Y., in a Midwest Region Division I match. Then at 3 p.m., the University of Northern Iowa will face Iowa.
The first and third games Saturday are MacDonald Cup matches.
On Sunday at 10:30 a.m., will be the consolation match of the MacDonald Cup and at noon is the championship of the MacDonald Cup.
Later on that day, the Pearl City Pumas travel to Dubuque to play Loras College at 4:15 p.m.
