WILTON, Iowa – Third-place Cedar Valley Conference team Wilton placed six on the top two baseball all-conference teams announced today.

West Liberty added a selection on each of the top two teams.

The Beavers, who finished a game away from the state tournament, placed pitchers Drew Freie and Alec Crawford and outfielder Josh Peterson on the first team. West Liberty outfielder Ian Hamilton was the Comets’ lone first team selection.

On the second team for Wilton were pitcher Kyle Paulsen, second baseman Jared Howell and outfielder Kyle Holmes.

West Liberty placed Matt Pelzer on the second team as a utility player.

Earning honorable mention from the area included Wilton catcher Ryan Waack and first baseman Todd Denkman; West Liberty utility player Cale Oltmanns and catcher Avery Meyers; and Durant shortstop Collin Telsrow and catcher Zach Downing.
