COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa – Wapello’s Geoff Theobald was among three drivers to collect a feature win Wednesday night in the Louisa County Fair Shootout at the CJ Speedway.

Theobald held off Cedar Rapids’ Brad Chandler by two to three feet in the night’s final feature.

Altoona’s Mike Morrill won the night’s first two features in the Mod Lite divisions, while Chandler won the opening feature in the 4 Cylinder division.

Nick Wilkerson and Tyler Whalen started on the pole in the final 4 Cylinder feature, but Theobald grabbed the lead on lap four. Theobald’s brother, Andrew, also in the 16-car field, saw his car roll violently several times in turn four to halt the race on lap 10. He  wasn’t injured.

The final six laps were bumper-to-bumper between Theobald and Chandler. In fact, they were side-by-side until Theobald edged him at the checkered flag.
