Thank you for your coverage of the ongoing discussion of curbside recycling in Muscatine. I have greatly appreciated the curbside cardboard pick-up the past few months. It would be a wonderful benefit to the community to expand this service.

If total curbside recycling is not possible at this time, perhaps an incremental increase would be. Of my six household bins, the ones for cardboard and for plastics fill the fastest, as these are the bulkier items. I would like to suggest that plastic pick-up be the next addition Muscatine makes in city services. Having curbside pick-up of cardboard and plastics would significantly reduce the number of trips I have to make to the community collection sites and be a valuable convenience.
