MOSCOW, Iowa – Everett Eugene ‘Gene’ Strong, 64, Moscow, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at his home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to the family for the Toys for Tots Program.
The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Strong was born April 19, 1945, in Watsonville, Calif., the son of Noah Everett and Bertha Shaw Strong. He married Eleanor ‘Tootsie’ Ellison June 21, 1966, in California. They later divorced.
He worked as an auto mechanic.
He was an avid motorcycle rider and enjoyed Harley-Davidsons, he especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include three sons, Jason Eugene Strong and wife, Tonya, of Blue Grass, Noah Everett Strong II and wife, Mindy, of Montpelier, and Maurice Martin Strong and wife, Eugenia, of Blue Grass; two step-sons, Max Pittman and wife, Jill, of Buffalo, and Walter ‘Jr.’ Prichard and wife, Darla, of Hudson, Colo.; two step-daughters, Karol Blackston of Hudson, Rita Almanza and husband, Jessie, of Vista, Calif.; 25 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Judy Caldwell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Shirley Robertson, and a daughter, Sandra Jo Pittman.
