Service: 2 p.m. Saturday Nov. 21, Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, 209 Franklin Street, Wapello. Visitation: one hour prior to the service. Burial: Wapello Cemetery.

WAPELLO, Iowa — Alice Carter, 89, died Thursday Nov. 19, 2009, at Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House. 

Memorials may be made in her memory to the family.

Mrs. Carter was born Feb. 12, 1920, Wapello, the daughter of Myron and Flossie (Adamson) Daily.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years; Kenneth E. Carter;  sons, Ken Carter and wife, Bonnie and Myron Carter and wife,  SueAnn; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Iten and Myra McHaffe.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters; Martha Walker and Shirley Walker.
