WILTON, Iowa — David P. Andersen, 66, of Wilton, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2007, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.
The Rev. Father James Vrba will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by pianist Bev Reuter and vocalist Maret Wilson.
Pallbearers will be John Andersen, Steve Andersen, Michael Andersen, Dean Ripson, Harland Garvin and Blaine Charlton.
Bentley Funeral Home in Wilton is in charge of arrangements.
Interment will be at the Oakdale Cemetery in Wilton.
A memorial has been established for a variety of organizations that were important to him.

Mr. Andersen was born Nov. 7, 1941, in Burlington, the son of Paul and Mary (Bentler) Andersen.
He married Shirli J. House on Nov. 19, 1966, in Wilton.
He graduated from Cedar Rapids Regis High School in 1959 and from Loras College in Dubuque with a bachelor’s degree in 1963.
He taught at Wilton High School from 1963 until he retired in 1997. He then worked at Crossroads in Muscatine as a supported employment specialist until 2005.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and enjoyed playing golf and fishing. He also volunteered for many school and community activities.
He is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife; two sons, Troy Andersen of Urbandale and Travis Andersen and his wife, Dianne Smart, of Appleton, Wis.; two granddaughters, Lauren and Karinna Andersen; three brothers, John Andersen and his wife, Juanita, of New Hampton, Steve Andersen and his wife, Karen, of Robins and Michael Andersen and his wife, Stacy, of Marion; and his stepmother, Margie Andersen of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
