MUSCATINE, Iowa — William “Bill” D. Boyd, 67, of Muscatine, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, following a brief illness.
Per his families wishes, his body has been cremated. There will be no services.
His cremains, along with his wife’s, will be buried at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. The Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.

William D. Boyd was born on May 31, 1942, in Bayfield, Wis., the son of William and Delma Buffalo Boyd. He married Hazel Bell in Rock Island, Ill., on Feb. 7, 1976.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He worked for HON Industries for 27 years and later worked at Blain’s Farm and Fleet in the warehouse.
He is survived by two stepsons, Jeff Rhodes and his wife, Candi, and Steve Rhodes, both of Muscatine; nine grandchildren, Amber Rhodes, Robert Rhodes, Charity Molds, Josh Lewis, Lacy Lewis, Steve Rhodes Jr., Stephanie Rhodes, Scott Rhodes and Rochelle Rhodes and several great grandchildren; five brothers, Steven Boyd, Edward Boyd, Robert Boyd, David Boyd all of Bayfield, Wis. and Martin Boyd of Aurora, Colo.; three sisters, Mary Miller of Wheeling, Ill., Judy Glassburn of Franklin, Ind. and Catherine Boyd of Fort Worth, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife in 2007 and a stepson, Glen Rhodes.
