Memorial services: 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3, Mulford Evangelical Free Church, Muscatine. There will be no visitation.

   MUSCATINE, Iowa - Henriette H. Costas, 69, Muscatine, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

   The Rev. Jerry Foote will officiate. After the services, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the church.

   A memorial has been established at the funeral home. The Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services, Muscatine, is handling the arrangements. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

   She was born Oct. 31, 1937, in Muscatine, the daughter of Henry J. and Helen A. Behrens.

   She graduated from Muscatine Catholic School and received her nurse's aide certification and also attended housekeeping classes. She worked for Community Nursing for 22 years. She was a member of Mulford Evangelical Free Church and enjoyed gardening, making up games, playing games, painting, woodworking and crafts.

   Survivors include a daughter, Carrie Sue Behrens of Muscatine; and two sisters, Kathy Brown and husband Don of Muscatine and Judy Gillespie of Muscatine.

   She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, David and Harold.
