MUSCATINE, Iowa – Mary Anna Wilson, 92, Muscatine, died Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, at Lutheran Homes.
The Rev. Kimberly Bowles and Chaplain Vicki Pedersen will officiate the service.
Casketbearers will be her grandsons, Alan Birkhofer, Tim Birkhofer, Mark Wikel, David Wikel, Greg Wilson, Matt Wilson, Eric Wilson and John Sewell.
Memorials may be made to the family in care of Janice Birkhofer.
Mrs. Wilson was born Dec. 11, 1916, in Louisa County, the daughter of Alfred Brandt and Mildred Beatty Rosborough Bohling. She married Charles H. “Buck” Wilson n April 6, 1938, in Muscatine. He preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 1987.
She was a life member of the Island United Methodist Church, a member of the United Methodist Women, and held several offices in the church organizations.
Those left to honor her memory include two sons, Jack W. Wilson and wife, Janet, of the Muscatine Island, and Richard E. Wilson and wife, Jackie of Columbus Junction; three daughters, Janice Birkhofer of Moscow, Linda Sewell and husband, Gary, of Dubuque, and Jo Ann Wikel and husband, Ron, of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; a daughter-in-law, Teresa Wilson of the Muscatine Island; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Calvin Bohling of Fruitland, and John Bohling and wife, Connie, of Muscatine; and two sisters-in-law, Linnie Bohling of Muscatine, and Betty Bohling of Fair Oaks, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Donald, three brothers, James, Robert, and Donald in infancy, three sisters, Ines, Alice, and Frances; and a son-in-law, Lyle Birkhofer.
