Visitation: 4-7 p.m.  Monday, July 6, the funeral home.

ILLINOIS CITY, Ill. —  Anna G. Van Dolah, 76, of Illinois City, passed away  July 2, 2009 at Unity Hospital, Muscatine.  

The Rev. Sharon Phillips of the Jesus Mission Church will officiate the services.

 Casketbearers will be John Van Dolah, II, Jeffrey Van Dolah, Brian Van Dolah, Wayne Caulkins, Bill Gehlken and William Hodapp. 

Burial will be held in Illinois City Cemetery. 

Following the interment a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Community Room. 

A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Anna’s name.  Sympathy notes may be left for the Van Dolah family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com         

Anna was born on Nov. 23, 1932, in Louisa County, the daughter of Jessie L. and Lora M Kisner Jarvis.  She married John W. Van Dolah on Nov. 24, 1951,  in Muscatine. 

She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening and working with her computer.       

She will be deeply missed by her seven children, Jackie L. Caulkins and her husband, Wayne of Aledo, Illi., John W. Van Dolah, II of Tracy, Ca., Jeffrey W. Van Dolah of Illinois City, Ill., Lora L. Gehlken and her husband, Bill of Illinois City, Kathleen R. Phillips of Illinois City, Brian E. Van Dolah and his wife, Cathy of Muscatine,  and Susan E. Hodapp and her husband, William of Kansas City, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; four great grandchildren and one sister,  Joan Morehead of Muscatine.        

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2008, one brother, Jesse Jarvis and one sister, Mary Baker.
