DAVENPORT, Iowa — Betty L. (Olinger) Hauerwas, 80, Davenport, Hauerwas died Saturday, Nov. 7, at Ridgecrest Health Care Center in Davenport.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Memorials may be directed to Ridgecrest Health Care Facility or to the family.
Mrs. Hauerwas was born July 8, 1929, in Muscatine, the daughter of Otis Dyer Olinger and Gladys Ruby (McChesney) Olinger.
She attended Muscatine High School.
In 1949, she married Darrell T. O'Boyle and they had four children.
She married Ralph W. Hauerwas on Nov. 12, 1976. The couple owned and operated the Commodore Tap in Davenport for many years.
Those left to honor her memory include three sons, Martin O'Boyle and wife, Trish of Eldridge, Jeffrey O'Boyle and wife, Monja of Camano Island, Wash., Noland O'Boyle of Nashville, Tenn.; a daughter, Sharilyn O'Boyle of Eldridge, a daughter-in-law, Inge Massey of Naples, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Jesse O’Boyle, Brandy Ragona and husband, Paul, Kale O’Boyle, Kevin Klebbe and wife, Jodi, Shannon O’Boyle (Patric Brown), Dathan O’Boyle, Kumara Luly (Gilbert) Romero; 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
