BOWLING GREEN, Mo. — Jim McVicker, 70, formerly from  Muscatine, died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009, in Bowling Green, following a brief illness.

Private services were held Aug. 22 at Wilson Cemetery Winfield, Mo.

Mr. McVicker was a resident of Muscatine for 50 years working for Bandag as a laboratory technician for 20 years. 

He served in the Army during the late 50s.  He  retired to Seffner, Fla., in 1988 were he remained until 2002. 

He then relocated to Bowling Green where he lived until he died.

Survivors include a son, Jeffrey Allen McVicker of Round Rock, Texas.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Irene McVicker.
