MUSCATINE, Iowa — Marcus Fredrick Stoneburner, 89, of Muscatine, passed away Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, at the Carrington Place of Muscatine. 

Casketbearers will be David Albery, Brian Albery, Michael Albery, Scott Stoneburner, Nathan Null and John Marquis.  

Honorary casketbearer will be Jeff Albery. 

 Following the interment a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Community Room.  A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Mark. 

Mr. Stoneburner was born Dec. 20, 1919, in Stonington, Ill., the son of Fredrick and Amelia (McGilvary) Stoneburner.  He married Verlee Found May 3, 1946, in Memphis, Mo. 

He worked as a warehouse manager for Champion-International in Muscatine. 

He was a past member of the Moose and Elks. 

He enjoyed camping, traveling, woodworking and his faithful Yorkie, Abby, but most of all he dearly loved spending time with his family.

He will be deeply missed by his children, Sharon Snyder of Muscatine and Mark Stoneburner and wife, Sharon, of Bettendorf; six step-grandchildren; a sister, Ethel Picco and husband, John of Peoria, Ill., and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Verlee, Sept. 10, 2008; three brothers, Charles, Robert and Melvon and son-in-law, Tom Snyder.
