DES MOINES, Iowa – Margaret Anna Vetter, 92, of Des Moines, died Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at her home.
The Rev. Toni Ross of the Illinois City United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Buffalo Prairie Cemetery.

Mrs. Vetter was born on March 22, 1917, in Nichols, the daughter of Jacob and Lena (Loeb) Wendt. She married Garth Vetter on March 25, 1939, in Clinton. He preceded her in death on June 12, 1997.
She was a homemaker and helped on the farm.
She was a member of the Illinois City United Methodist Church. She was also a 50-year plus member of the Eastern Star, belonging to the Muscatine White Shrine and the Buffalo Prairie Eastern Star, where she served as a worthy matron. She enjoyed traveling and was an avid reader.
Survivors include one son, Dean Vetter and wife, Nancy, of Urbandale; two grandchildren, Joshua Vetter and fiancé, Amy Little, of Des Moines; and Lenaiya Vetter of Urbandale; one great-grandchild, Zayde Vetter of McKinney, Texas; and two sisters-in-law, Rayetta Wendt of Muscatine, and Eileen Hyett of Aledo, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, Marian Smith, and two brothers, Harold Wendt and Raymond Wendt Sr.
