MUSCATINE, Iowa – Minnie L. Bair Ewoldt, 85, of Muscatine, died Saturday, Nov. 14 at the Pioneer Park Care Center in Lone Tree.
Rev. Gary MacManus will officiate the services. Casket bearers will be Winston Rock, Tom Fritz, Mike Fuller, Shane Fuller, Tyler Alexander, Brennan Alexander, Zachary Ewoldt and Travis Ewoldt. Honorary casket bearers will be Matt Fritz and Harvey Rock.
Following the interment, a time of food and fellowship will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, Muscatine.
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association in memory of Minnie.
Minnie L. Bair was born on July 17, 1924 in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of James A. and Minnie (Pantel) Bair. She was a 1943 graduate of Muscatine High School.
On March 19, 1947, Minnie was united in marriage to Harvey O. Ewoldt in Davenport. They were later divorced. Minnie worked in the kitchen at the Muscatine General Hospital and the Maid Rite.
Minnie was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Ladies of the Moose, the Eagles and the Muscatine Hospital Auxiliary.
She enjoyed country music, singing in the family band, “Al Bair and the Cowboys” and watching old comedy shows.
Minnie will be deeply missed by her children, Donna J. Rock and her husband, Winston of Low Moor; Bonnie L. Fritz and her husband, Tom, of Cedar Rapids; Connie S. Fuller and her husband, Mike, of Muscatine; and James H. Ewoldt of DeWitt; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Minnie was preceded in death by her parents and a special cousin, Ed Eisele.
