MUSCATINE, Iowa — Richard “Buck” Krueger, 76, formerly of Illinois City, Ill., passed away Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, at his residence in Macon, Mo.
Funeral services were held Feb. 10, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon.
The Rev. Paul Brooks of Providence Baptist Church will officiate the services.
Mr. Krueger was born Nov. 8, 1932, in Illinois City, the son of Walter and Lucille (Thomas) Krueger.
He worked at many places during his life; he retired from Grain Processing Corp. Dec. 31, 1996, after 16 years. He then moved to Macon in late 1998.
He is survived by four daughters, Susan Price of Macon, Mo., Dianne Verschoore of Moline, Ill., Shelly Rudsell and husband, Rusty, of Davis Junction, Ill. and Laura Simmons and husband, Joe, of Andalusia, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, LaVerne Krueger and wife, Dixie of Erie, Colo., Carl Krueger and wife, Sharon, of Duluth, Ga. and Roger Krueger and wife, Maggie, of Andalusia, Ill.; three sisters, Phyllis Attig and husband, George, of Reynolds, Ill., Nellie Ziegenhorn and husband, Leland, of Illinois City and Ruth Simpkins of Viola, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Lois Krueger of Aledo, Ill. and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dennis; a brother, Glen; a granddaughter; a great-grandson and two brothers-in-law.
