LONE TREE, Iowa — Jennifer Jean Pechman, 63, of Lone Tree died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009, at her home surrounded by her family following a long battle with cancer.

Burial will be at the Lone Tree Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established.

Jennifer was born Dec. 13, 1945, in Moline, Ill. She was a graduate of Erie, Illinois High School in 1963. She married Mike Pechman July 19, 1972.

 She had been employed with Sheller Globe in Iowa City for many years.

She enjoyed playing bingo and she bowled with the IWBC and was president for four years.

In her early years she was a Boy Scout leader.

She was a volunteer with the University of Iowa Hospital making sock monkeys.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Pechman; three children, Kenda Swailes of Lone Tree, Brad Schaver of Tiffin and Greg Pechman and wife, Amy of Riverside; three stepchildren, Jennifer Paschel of Lone Tree, Julie Johnson and husband, Chris of Dubuque, and Mark Pechman and wife, Jolene of South Carolina; four sisters, Cheryl Carrier and husband, Terry of Cicero, Ill., Merilee Dufault of Scottsdale, Ariz. and CeCe Wilcoxson of Lone Tree, Dotty Stewart and husband, Charles of Williamsburg; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Lou Schilling.
