WEST BRANCH, Iowa — Brian David Hoffman, 47, died Sunday Oct. 25, 2009, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City surrounded by his family.
A memorial fund has been established.
Mr. Hoffman was born June 8, 1962, in Iowa City the son of Thomas and Patricia Rogers Hoffman. He graduate from West Branch High School in 1980. He married Marilyn “Kitty” Manning June 19, 1982, at the Rochester United Methodist Church.
He was always a dedicated employee, working for Louis Rich Foods in West Liberty, Sauer Danfoss in West Branch and most recently Protek Medical Products in Coralville.
He was a member of the West Branch United Methodist Church. His passions were his family, fishing and football. He was an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes, Minnesota Vikings and the West Branch Bears.
He was also a volunteer statistician for the West Branch Bears football team for the last eight years.
He is loving remembered and survived by his wife, Marilyn “Kitty” Hoffman of West Branch; two daughters, Taryn McGuire and husband, Matthew of North Liberty and Kelsey Hoffman of West Branch; a sister, Sharon Kendall and husband, Jim of Moberly, Mo.; and brother, Bret Hoffman of West Branch; a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
