COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa — Rebecca Irene “Becky” Lukavsky, 57, Columbus Junction, died Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, at Midwest Medical Center in Galena, Illinois.

 The Rev. Al Coffin will officiate. 

The family and arrangements are in the care of the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services, Columbus Junction. 

There will be no visitation.  The family's request for cremation was officiated by the Life Transition and Cremation Center of Muscatine. 

Inurnment will be at Indian Creek Cemetery with Ramona Wink presiding.  Following the committal there will be a time of food and fellowship at the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church. 

A memorial has been established at the funeral home in her  name.

Mrs. Lukavsky was born Dec. 19, 1951, in Muscatine,  the daughter of Joe and Janet (Morrison) Curry.  She married Alfred A. Lukavsky Sept. 14, 1969, in Nashua.

She worked as secretary at the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance office in Columbus Junction.  She enjoyed riding motorcycle, touring with her husband, and especially loved her family and her grandchildren.                                       

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Fred of Columbus Junction; her two sons, David Lukavsky and wife, Kelli of Columbus Junction and Nathaniel “Nate” Lukavsky and Heather Clapp of Tipton; two grandchildren, Drew David and Samantha Marie Lukavsky; her parents, Joe and Janet Curry of Columbus Junction; her brother, William “Bill” Curry and wife, Lillian of New Virginia; a sister, Jennifer Huston and husband, Mark of Columbus Junction; her father-in-law, Harold Lukavsky of Columbus Junction; her brother-in-law, Duane Lukavsky and wife, Theresa of Columbus Junction; and her sister-in-law, Carol Dawson of Cedar Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dale and Irene Morrison and Glenn and Hazel Curry; her mother-in-law, Marie Lukavsky; and brother-in-law, Fred Dawson.
