MUSCATINE, Iowa – Daniel Joseph Kelly, 64, of Muscatine, died Sunday, July 19, 2009, at his home.

The Rev. Joseph Sia of Ss Mary and Mathias Parish will officiate. 

Memorials may be made to the grandchildren’s education fund in care of Tim Kelly.

Mr. Kelly was born July 9, 1945, in Muscatine, the son of Thomas and Kathy Ingram Kelly.  He married Terry Schafer in July of 1968 in Rock Island, Ill.  They later divorced.

He was a graduate of Wilton High School.

He had worked for Stanley Engineering Co. for 18 years.  He then started Kelly Heating and Air Conditioning semi retiring in 2002.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge No. 388; American Legion Post No. 27, and HOG (Harley Owners Group). 

He enjoyed golf, boating, and motorcycle riding.

Survivors include a son, Timothy R. Kelly and wife, Stephanie, of Muscatine; two grandchildren, William and Alexandra; his significant other, Cindy Kardux, Muscatine; three brothers, Tom Kelly and wife, Ellie, of Sacramento, Calif., Mike Kelly and wife, Jacque, of Manteo, N. C., and Joe Kelly and wife, Kas, of Muscatine; two sisters, Judy Viner and husband, Bob, of Lone Tree, and Mo Clanton and husband, Jim, of Muscatine; a step-brother, Tommy of Muscatine, and a step-sister, Tovy of Muscatine.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Virginia “Ginny” Powers.
