MOSCOW, Iowa — Jack Everett Hood, 72, Moscow, formerly of Aledo, Ill., died Saturday, April 11, 2009, at Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty.
Mr. Hood was born Dec. 27, 1936, the son of Elmore “Mac” and Gladys (Wagnor) Hood in Aledo.
He graduated from Winola High School and then farmed in the Aledo area for 21 years.
He retired in 1977 and moved to Moscow in 1993, living with his niece, Virginia Pallischeck and husband, Frank.
He enjoyed collecting toy tractors.
He is survived and lovingly remembered by his sister, Frances Christie of Nixa, Mo. and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a twin brother, Mac Hood and his sisters, Verna DeVelbiss and Violet Lorraine Lincoln.
Memorial donations may be made to the Iowa City Hospice in his memory.
