WAPELLO, Iowa — Donna Jean Skipton, 76, of Wapello, died Monday Oct. 12, 2009, at Genesis East in Davenport. 

A memorial has been established for the Wapello Ambulance Service.

Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Skipton was born July 15, 1933, in Fairfield, the daughter of Charles and Cassa Marsh. She  married Robert F. Skipton, Dec. 3, 1955, in Iowa City. He died Aug. 14, 2006.

She was a graduate of the Springfield, Minn. High School and graduated from the University of Iowa as a radiology technician. She worked for more than 35 years at the Burlington Medical Center as a radiology tech.

Survivors include two sons, Randy Skipton of Bettendorf and Milo Skipton of Wapello; three grandchildren and a great-grandson; a sister, Marceline Marsh of Wapello.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Allen Marsh.
