MUSCATINE, Iowa – Willard W. Rhodes, 69, Muscatine, died Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, at All American Care Nursing Home.
The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Rhodes family in care of Kathy Killen.
Mr. Rhodes was born Feb. 13, 1940, in Hugo, Okla., the son of Millard and Gladyne Wallace Rhodes.
He was a self employed carpenter.
He loved fishing, hunting, gardening and enjoyed cooking.
He is survived by two sons, Will Rhodes and wife, Robin, of Dunlap, Tenn., and David Rhodes of Ventura, Calif.; a daughter, Laurie Campbell of Bend, Ore.; several grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Palmer of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Jim “Buddy” Rhodes of Placerville, Calif.; and five sisters, June Benson of Mountain View, Ark., Mildred Ward of Bakersfield, Calif., Dorothy Eaton of Laurinburg, N.C., Kathy Killen of Muscatine, and Deanie Donald of Colorado Springs, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Joan Johnson.
