Visitation: At noon Tuesday, Oct. at the Olson - Powell Memorial Chapel, 709 E. Mapleleaf Drive, Mount Pleasant, family will meet friends 5-7 p.m.

MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa — Helen D. Ross–Fedora, 95, of Mount Pleasant, formerly of Muscatine, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at Arbor Court in Mount Pleasant.

The Rev. Herb Shafer will  officiate the service. 

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.  

Mrs. Fedora was born Oct. 6, 1914, in Ozzburn, Mo., the daughter of Arthur and Delta (Lewis) Cadogan. 

She spent her formative years in Muscatine.  She married Ernie Ross Dec. 31, 1934.  He preceded her in death in February 1986. She married John Fedora August 1991,  in Branson.  He preceded her in death in 1998.

She worked at the button factory and the Maid- Rite in Muscatine. 

After she moved to Mount Pleasant, she worked at Sheaffer Pen Co.  She owned and operated the Magic Mirror and the Old 34 Grill, both in Mount Pleasant.  While living in Branson, she worked at Silver Dollar City in the finance department.

 She enjoyed playing card games and traveling throughout the United States and overseas with her husbands. 

She also loved to entertain friends and family at her lake house in Branson.

 At one time, she was an active volunteer and member of the First United Methodist Church of Mount Pleasant.  She was a member of the Branson Garden Club, the Moose and other organizations.

Survivors include a son, Edward Ross of El Paso, Texas; a sister, Louise Wise and husband, John of Freeport, Ill.; two brothers, Lewis Cadogan and wife, Ruth, of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Lee Cadogan of Davenport; a son-in-law, Don Messer of MountPleasant; and a halfsister, Judy Winslow of Davenport;  four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, four stepchildren and several stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; a daughter, Marcia Messer; a sister, Katharine Veach; and two brothers, William Cadogan and Gene Cadogan.
