COLUMBUS JUNCTION — Evelyn Finke, 92, of Columbus Junction, Iowa, died Friday, July 31, 2009, at the Colonial Manor Care Center in Columbus Junction. 

The Rev. Al Coffin will officiate.  

Inurnment will be at Cambrian Cemetery.

Evelyn Jane Kerr was born December 5, 1916 in Grandview, Iowa, the daughter of Paul and Elizabeth Jane (Lewis) Kerr.  On November 26, 1960 Evelyn was united in marriage to Clifford F. Finke in Mediapolis, Iowa.  Evelyn was a homemaker and beloved mother to her children.  She was a member of the Rebekahs, the Lions Club and the Royal Neighbors.  She was also a member of the United Methodist Church and was active in her church circle.                                                            

She will be dearly missed by her children, John Blecha of St. Louis, Mo., Linda Porter of Osceola, and Christina McLaury of Madison, Ala.; three grandchildren, Chad Evans of Iowa City, Annissa Evans of Phoenix, Ariz. and Rex McLaury of Madison, Ala.; her brother-in-law, Edlef Boysen of Mediapolis; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Carl and Pauline DeFosse of Burlington; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifford; a brother, Harlan G. Kerr; and a sister, Maxine Boysen.
