MUSCATINE , Iowa — Two men have been arrested for drug deals that occurred at The Gambit Gentleman’s Club, 2307 Grandview Ave., according to the Muscatine County Drug Task Force.
Brian A. Williams, 33, 1505 Meadowbrook Court, Davenport, formerly of Muscatine, and Hiram Antonio Serrano, 21, 915 Hoffman St., Muscatine, allegedly delivered and conspired to deliver cocaine. The deliveries were set up by confidential informants with the Muscatine County Drug Task Force.
Williams was charged Oct. 9 with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance and one count of conspiracy to deliver cocaine.
Documents at the Muscatine County Courthouse state that on June 25 Williams delivered 2.9 grams of cocaine to a confidential informant. On July 24 Williams delivered another 5 grams to an informant, and on Aug. 14 he conspired with Serrano to deliver 5.5 grams of cocaine to an informant.
All of the transactions occurred at The Gambit, according to the Drug Task Force. Williams’ relatives operate the business.
Serrano is charged with delivery of a controlled substance, a class C felony, for allegedly delivering 5.5 grams of cocaine on Aug. 14. Serrano was arrested on Oct. 8. Upon booking, jail officials found 2.6 grams of marijuana on his person and charged him with possession of a controlled substance, a serious misdemeanor.
Serrano is being held in the Muscatine County Jail on $100,000 cash-only bond. Williams posted $5,000, 10 percent of the $50,000 he was being held on, and was released.
A class C felony is punishable by a maximum 10-year prison term and a fine not to exceed $10,000.
Williams is scheduled to appear at a preliminary hearing at 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22. Serrano is scheduled to appear at 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 19.
