Jeff Sulzberger, a block setter from Bayfield Excavating, worked Monday on building a retaining wall around the new parking lot at the corner of Third and Chestnut streets. The nearly $400,000 project was bid to Sulzberger Excavating in August. The project includes removal of sidewalks and pavement, lowering the upper parking lot, removal of the existing wall system and replacement with a large modular block retaining wall, and storm sewer improvements. The Hershey Avenue Area Sanitary and Storm Sewer Separation Project is now under way, along with a new parking lot being built at the corner of Third and Chestnut streets.
