MUSCATINE, Iowa — Richard A. Johnson, 57, Muscatine, was charged this week with felony drug charges for delivering marijuana to a Muscatine County Drug Task Force informant.
Johnson, 314 E. Seventh St., delivered 85 grams of marijuana to the informant on Aug. 18, according the complaints filed Wednesday at the Muscatine County Courthouse. He was charged with delivery of a controlled substance and violation of the drug tax stamp, both class D felonies punishable by up to five years in prison and a $7,500 fine.
Johnson posted $5,000 bond and was released from custody Wednesday. He is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1.
