MUSCATINE, Iowa — Muscatine County Drug Task Force officials arrested a man they say sold fake cocaine to an undercover agent.
According to court documents, Steven Decker sold a white powder on June 4 to the agent and an individual cooperating with the Drug Task Force.
Decker, 19, 3314 Steamboat Way, Apt. 10, Muscatine, was charged Wednesday with delivery of a simulated controlled substance.
The Class C felony carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and $50,000 in fines.
Decker was released from Muscatine County Jail after posting 10 percent of a $7,500 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 21.
Decker also faces misdemeanor charges for:
- Possession of less than 5 grams of cocaine during a traffic stop and search of his vehicle on June 4
- Possession of marijuana-related drug paraphernalia during a search of his former residence on June 4
