MUSCATINE, Iowa — Muscatine police say a woman arrested for assault brought antidepressants into the county jail.
Christine V. Mathias, 37, 206 W. Sixth St., Muscatine, had three pills of cyclobenzaprime and two pills of alprazolam when she was booked into the Muscatine County Jail at about 12:30 p.m. on March 9, according to court records.
Mathias was charged with introduction of contraband into a correctional facility, a Class D felony.
A Class D felony is punishable by up to five years in prison and $7,500 in fines.
She also faces a misdemeanor charges of possession of a controlled substance and assault.
She was released from jail on a promise to appear for a hearing on Friday, March 27.
