MUSCATINE, Iowa — Robert Lee Cole Jr., 33, was arrested Friday for felony sexual abuse against an adult female, according to complaints filed at the Muscatine County Courthouse.

Cole, 2471 Pettibone Ave., Apt. 1, Muscatine, reportedly sexually abused a woman on Nov. 4.

Cole was charged with third-degree sexual abuse, a class C felony. He has a prior third-degree sexual abuse conviction from 2000 and also has been found guilty of assault and domestic abuse.

Cole is being held in the Muscatine County Jail on a $100,000 bond and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17. He faces up to 10 years in prison and $10,000 in fines if convicted.
