WEST LIBERTY, Iowa — Jesse James Halter, 1242 Dover St., Iowa City, was arrested Wednesday in West Liberty for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, a class D felony.

The vehicle Halter was driving was stopped by the West Liberty Police Department for a license plate obstruction. An open alcohol container was inside the vehicle and a subsequent search of the car revealed  six bags of marijuana, totaling 12 grams.

Court information for Halter had not been filed by press time today.
