UPDATED: MUSCATINE, Iowa — The driver of a dark blue conversion van did not stop after striking a bicyclist Tuesday, authorities say.
The van, possibly with a high roof, hit Randall Carey, 54, of Muscatine, at 1:47 p.m. on Iowa Highway 22 at Geneva Hills Road, said Capt. Jeff Mullen of the Muscatine County Sheriff’s Office.
Carey suffered minor injuries. He refused medical treatment at the scene, and a deputy drove him home.
It was previously reported an ambulance transported him to Unity Hospital.
The driver of the van has not been located.

MUSCATINE, Iowa — A bicyclist struck Tuesday by a hit-and-run driver suffered minor injuries.
Emergency workers responded at 1:47 p.m. to the accident at Iowa Highway 22 and Geneva Hills Road.
Assistant Chief Kevin Cannon of the Muscatine Fire Department said the bicyclist, whose name was not released, was taken by ambulance to Unity Hospital.
No other information on the bicyclist was available.
The driver of the motor vehicle was not located, Cannon said.
Messages seeking additional information from the Muscatine County Sheriff’s Office were not returned by press time this morning.
