MUSCATINE, Iowa — Robert Ray Jones, 69, of Muscatine, died Friday, Dec. 12, 2008, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Memorials may be directed to Eric or Randy Jones.

Garden Ridge Funeral and Cremation Services is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Robert “Grandpa Bob” retired from BT Prime Mover and worked part time at Auto Zone.

He enjoyed NASCAR, the time that he spent with his extended family in Missouri and the many road trips he shared with his canine companion “Lady.”

He is survived by sons, Randy Jones and wife, Linda, and Eric Jones and wife, Lisa Wolfe Jones, all of Muscatine; grandchildren, Michelle Jones, Christopher Jones, Bradley Rowe and wife, Amanda, Ashley Kaufman and husband, Brandon, Michaela Jones, Mackenzie McCracken, Nash Jones and Nolan Wolfe; great-grandchildren, Riley Kaufman, Carter Kaufman, Madisyn Rowe and Kylie Rowe; and a sister, Judy Carter and husband, Larry, and their family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ira Jones in February 1960, and his mother, Bernice Brown on Dec. 10, 2008.
