MUSCATINE, Iowa – Marie K. Morrissey, 96, of Muscatine, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at Lutheran Homes.
The Rev. John Brown will officiate. Pallbearers are Mike Hatfield, Tabby Hatfield, Fred Chambers, Jim Reynolds, Mark Morrissey, and Kenneth Logel. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Morrissey was born April 19, 1912, in Muscatine, the daughter of Fred and Anna Geltz Watkins. After Fred died, Anna married Edward Ribbink and together they raised Marie. She married Robert F. Morrissey Dec. 31, 1935, in Rock Island, Ill. He preceded her in death in 1969.
She retired after 25 years with the Muscatine Pearl Works.
She was a member of the Eagles and a past member of the Women of the Moose, Rebecca Lodge, and Pocahontas. She was a former member of the Lincoln Boulevard Church.
She loved to play bingo and go to the boats.
Survivors include three daughters, Rose Morrissey, Shirley Morrissey, and Pat Morrissey, all of Muscatine; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Willets of Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Melody, Mike, and Mark; four great-grandchildren Mike, Tabby, Micky, and Jonathon; a great- great-grandson, Brycen; many nieces and nephews, and many friends at Lutheran Homes.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, John Morrissey in 1975, a brother, Robert Ribbink, and a sister, Ann Logel.
