ILLINOIS CITY, Ill. — Charlene A. Mindock, 67, of Illinois City, died Friday June 20, 2008, at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island, Ill.
Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Taylor Ridge, Ill. Memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be designated later. Online condolences may be left at www.wheelanpressly.com
Mrs. Mindock was born Oct. 11, 1940, in Chicago, the daughter of Carl and Mildred Ecklin Bloom. She married Bob Mindock on Aug. 10, 1964, in Chicago.
She was an elementary school teacher with the Rockridge School District for more than 20 years before retiring in 1996.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting, cross stitching, crossword puzzles and exercising. She especially loved time spent with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Bob, Illinois City; sons and daughters-in-law, Rob and Ann Mindock, Muscatine, Kurt and Michele Mindock, Illinois City; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Shannon Prince, Naples, Fla.; grandchildren, Levi, Kaylee, Daytona and Landon.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Norman Bloom.
