Edwin and Betty Lett of Tipton will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a dinner from 5-7 p.m. and a dance from  7-10 p.m. Saturday,  June 7, at the Durant Community Center.

All friends and family are invited. The couple requests no gifts.

Betty Ann Samuelson and Edwin Lett were married on June 8, 1958, at Zion Lutheran Church in Wilton.

Their children are Debbie (Bill) Larsen of Hudson, Dan Lett of Tipton, Darrin “Buzz” Lett of Tipton, Dr. Traci (Steve) Butler of DeWitt and Rachael (Clay) Schneckloth of Story City.

There are 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was a lifelong farmer and an auctioneer with Lett Auctioneers. After retiring, he later worked at Wal-Mart in Coralville.

She is self-employed as owner of Betty Lett Realty in Tipton. She is a member of Tipton Chamber of Commerce and Tipton Rotary Club.
